Little Chute Windmill
In 2012, the town of Little Chute decided to pay homage to the Dutch ancestry of many of the local Hollander’s. Leaders in the town wanted to make the town special by providing the windmill as a fun thing to do in Little Chute. The windmill has since become an icon.
An authentic, fully functional 1850s design, the windmill was built in the Netherlands and shipped over via boat. Standing over 100 feet tall, the windmill serves as a museum in Little Chute, and a place for learning and activities. The Little Chute Windmill was privately funded by the passionate individuals in the community.
Little Chute is located on the Fox River bordering Appleton, Kaukauna, and Kimberly. The windmill is a not so hidden gem that has brought in traffic from surrounding communities. If you love architecture or museums and you’re looking for a unique experience in the Fox Cities, the Little Chute windmill is a go to activity!
