Friends, family, colleagues…… we can feel it in the air! Spring is coming. I think we can agree that even though this winter has been somewhat mild, we are ready for more sunshine! The events going on in our community this month seem to heavily revolve around beer. I don’t think I’m very surprised, and I’m also not complaining!

HALFWAY TO MILE 2020

When? March 5th – 7th

Where? Chadwick’s Bar, The Bent Keg, Deja vu Martini Lounge in Appleton

Cost? FREE

In Appleton, we are big Mile of Music fans. Most people count down the days for this awesome event! Chadwick’s Bar, The Bent Keg and Deja vu Martini Lounge are hosting a few amazing musicians over the course of the weekend just to give you a little Mile taste. This “weekend” will begin on a Thursday. Nothing better than that!

THIRD ANNUAL WINTER BEER FEST

When? Saturday March 7, 2020 at 12 PM

Where? Bare Bones Brewery in Oshkosh

Cost? $30.00

Winter Beer Fest… but held outdoors, weather permitting. It pretty much doesn’t get any more Wisconsin than that! The cost of your ticket includes unlimited beer samples, chili, hotdogs, and obviously a good time. There will be several fundraisers going on during this event as well. Get out there and enjoy our early spring!  

SHAMROCK CRAFT BEER INVITATIONAL

When? Saturday March 7, 2020 at 3 PM

Where? The Automobile Gallery in Green Bay

Cost? $40.00

Over 70 classic cars line up all around this place. You can check these out all while sampling over 50 beers in your commemorative 5 oz glass from 16 amazing breweries from all over Wisconsin. The fun doesn’t end there – there will also be cheese samples, a slice of pizza and Irish Folk music! A very cool event in such a neat venue!

CHILI COOK – OFF

When? Saturday March 7, 2020 at 6 PM

Where? Door County Brewing Co and Music Hall in Bailey’s Harbor

Chili season is coming to an end, and Door County is doing it big! Enjoy a beautiful day out in Door County and stop out to the chili cook off in Bailey’s Harbor. 15 chili masters are preparing their famous recipes – patrons will judge and winners will be announced at 7:30 PM. A short and sweet event that’s guaranteed to leave you feeling satisfied!

PITS & PINTS

When? Friday March 13th at 5 PM

Where? McFleshman’s Brewing Co. in Appleton

Cost? Varied

This may quite possibly be the first Friday night you go out with your pals and don’t feel bad leaving your dog behind! ….because they can go out with you. Bring your well behaved four legged friend to McFleshmans and enjoy a beer or two in good company. Raffles will be done and live music begins at 8 PM. Come on, your pup deserves a night out!

ACE’S ST PATTY’S SCAVENGER HUNT PUB CRAWL

When? Saturday March 14th at 3 PM

Where? Downtown Appleton

Here’s your perfect excuse to celebrate St Patrick’s day a few days early, and hit up lots of bars while doing it! Your ticket will get you a wristband that includes: a T Shirt, a free shot at your first stop, and maaaannyy drink deals at all of your favorite bars! Not only will this event be a good time, but the cost of your ticket will also be used to support NAMI Fox Valley.

The beer continues to flow in Oshkosh as EAA hosts their 16th annual Hops & Props event. Your ticket includes a commemorative glass, samples to over 300 different beers (yes, 3 HUNDRED different beers!!), various food stations and live music. It sounds like this event can’t get any better! I have a really good feeling that you may end up finding your new favorite beer.

If you haven’t seen or heard of 7000apart, you are seriously missing out. This fun Swedish / American duo is back in Wisconsin after recently premiering on Sweden’s Got Talent and being on tour for their new album, “We Are More.” This amazing couple has a beautiful story and an astounding amount of talent. Join them at 313 Dodge in Kaukauna for an evening full of fun and amazing drinks. This is a must do event!

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your own bouquet? It’s certainly a unique skill! Join Branching Out & Company at Appleton Beer Factory for a professional lesson on a handtied bouquet that you can take home that night! Snacks and a pint of beer will be provided by the brew masters at ABF, so you know it will be amazing.

N.E.W. Piano Guys

When? Friday March 20, 2020 at 7 PM

Where? The Grand Meridian in Appleton

These guys are becoming a Wisconsin staple! The N.E.W Piano Guys put on one heck of a show that will keep you dancing, singing and laughing all night long. Doors open at 7 PM for hors D’oeuvres and a cash bar. The Guys will begin their show at 8 PM – you don’t want to miss it!

This is an interesting combination in the sense of it isn’t a common type of event, which makes it even more intriguing! Your ticket will get you a punch card so that you are able to get your hands on those amazing samples. You are bound to find a new favorite!

BACON FEST

Where? Berkshire Event Venue in Sheboygan

Wine, beer and bacon. Do I need to say anything more? A wide variety of bacon inspired dishes and the opportunity to sample over 40 wines and over 40 beers. I recommend a designated driver for this day drinking event!

DOWNTOWN APPLETON BREWERY PAIRING DINNER

Where? Stone Arch at Riverview Gardens

Four course meal and three 4 oz beers to go along with each course. This means that you will have the opportunity to taste 4 amazing dishes and 12 different beers!
